It depends how confident you are at maintaining it, and how self disciplined you are at keeping on top of the regular checks (and your 'to do' list).

If in doubt, just whack it in for a annual test. For £40 per year it may well be worth it in peace-of-mind alone to have a second pair of eyes run over the thing.

The only caveat being to take it to an MoT chap who is familiar with old Land Rovers.

I quite like the colour scheme but yes the chevrons need to be the other way up! I would do the wheels just in yellow. I think Landrovers generally look terrible with back wheels.

well that is the next problem. Will it be too big for the chaps that do my 109? , they are good lads and they do plenty of old landrovers, but i doubt they have had one this big before!

then the next thing is this new computerised MOT, will i even be able to get one or will i have to re- register first? i have had enough trouble tying to get a Sorn.

They look big, but in terms of all up weight and footprint, an FC isn't much bigger or heavier than a 110, it should also come under Class IV MOT so no issues there.

Depending on what paperwork you have it shouldn't be a major task to get it classified correctly with the DVLA and after that its a case of MOT and go.
It might need to be put on the computerised MOT system, but that's not a major hurdle, so long as DVLA have some record of the vehicle on file you're laughing, even if they don't its not the end of the world and it can be sorted out.

A vehicle enquirer on the reg on the DVLA site is probably a good start?
