Defender with 9.00

Hello my name is Daniel and I am new to the forum! I stumbled across the forum because I was interested in fitting 9.00x16 Michelin XZLs to my Defender 90. I came across a handful of photos but not a lot of information. The width of the tire seems to fit fine but I am worried the diameter will force me to trim the rear wheel arch plastics. I don't mind doing it, but I don't want to take off more than needed where it starts to look terrible.

I'm also not worried about gearing or sourcing the tires. Just looking to see if anyone has first hand experience fitting them to a Defender and how much of a haircut the arches need
