Hello from Portugal

Postby lrmaniac » Mon Jan 21, 2013 1:55 pm

Hello from Portugal!

My name is Joao, I live in Lisbon! I'm a LR enthusiast, as most of you around here.

I currently own a Defender 110 DC. I've had since I took my drivers licence an 88SIIA,

a Defender 90Td5

and now the 110

My other favourite Land Rover besides the Defender has been the 101FC.

However due to dificulty in getting one(prices are rising) and register it here (the 101 has never been imported to Portugal, so registering one is an odissey, besides expensive!), and after speaking to our member 22900013A the FC SIIA/B has been growing on me! A lot!

Been looking to some ads here in Pt (the FC SIIA/B were imported here so there are a few here and registering one that might come from abroad it much easy and cheaper.) and some over there in the UK.

Still haven't make up my mind and have some math to do....Docs, transportation, etc.... :? Will post some of my searches to get your opinion!

Cheers!

Hi Joao welcome along ,both fc's are fun to drive but diffrent in many ways ,parts availability for the 2a_b and can be expensive and quite difficult to source in comparison to the 101.

Greetings.

An FC is an excellent choice, whichever you buy.

Hello and Welcome....I was lucky enough to visit Lisbon last year through work and what a wonderful place it is....our host looked after us very well and we enjoyed a great meal in a seafood restaurant on the quayside, just under the 25 de Abril bridge....good luck with your FC choice and hunt....

(I have a 2a FC and also a 110 Double Cab)
