Its a vehicle type I've been hunting for for a while, a 110 Rapid Transit Backhoe, and I finally managed to track one down and buy it last August
. It has an interesting history as it was LRs own demonstrator from 1986 to '88 and I believe it was used on military trials (though this is yet to be proven). After that it was owned by the same independent LR dealer for the next 25 years until I bought it!Couple of pics from the day I got it home after I'd pressure washed all the crud off it…

Only a handful made as killed off by the mini-digger I suspect. Restoration is underway and if of interest i will post a few pics here as work progresses. Plenty to do but aiming for Dunsfold show next year
