A set of the real deal. Note the bargain basement price. Ouch.

Very Decent tyres though, and I've seen a set of rims only go to £870 (for four), so from that perspective, someone got these cheap.

Thats quite amazing.

Just goes to prove that buying one at a time can be much more cost-effective. In this case the owner knew exactly what they were. I am curious why they were sold though, as they were fitted to "Diddy" the 3 litre six cylinder 88" the Rumsey brothers built some years ago.

When I got my spare wheel out I found it was a normal landrover (5.5?) rim with a 750 on it, so about a much use as a chocolate tea pot! Looking at the price of the above I am never going to b able to afford a replacement one I remember the good old days when I thought tyres were expensive

Wheeledbeast - you will probably be able to pick up a singe rim much more cheaply, they tend to go for bigger money when it is a full set, and especially so with useable tyres. There is plenty of history in the for sale section to show what I mean. Okay they won't be pennies, but they won't be £200 each either.
