This has been brooding in the corner of a friends place for years. I'd love to get hold of it but I doubt they will ever part with it.

The photo doesn't do justice to the sheer scale of it.

An 8 cylinder Merlin under the bonnet, or the 'other' Rover V8 if you will.

Nice idea, but I do understand they can cost thousands to get recovered should you find yourself broken down. Still, if you can afford the fuel it might not be as much of a worry?

I'll stick to big Land Rovers, they're easier to deal with...

Now, I've owned one of these for nearly 45 years. Love mine. Mine has a Centurion Tank on the back too.
Agreed, Dinky No.660 is stamped on the bottom. Oh and there's one doing the Steam Rally circuit in my part of the world - Bucks/ Beds. Huge thing. Christ knows what his fuel bill is if he has to come far.

I know of a lad who used to have one and went to shows etc with it.

I believe he sold it after a couple of breakdowns in quick succession, the recovery bill for one coming in at over £20k.

20K Jesus Wept. Yeah, it's not a vehicle for mere mortals, you've either a nation of tax-payers footing the bill or own oil-wells. I'm not qualified for either.
