Different engines

Not that im in a position to do anything about it just now, but Das do you have any 2.6 engine's looking for a new home? can you get parts easy enough to rebuild these engines if i came across a non runner for sale? cheers

You need to speak to nutsaboutseries - I think he has some engines that could find their way into deserving new homes. He can also supply some parts, and Das does seem to know what he is doing in terms of working on them as well. I usually take a trip up to Das once every six months or so, so if you sort something with Ben (nuts...) I can probably transport one as far as Castle Douglas if required.

off the shelf parts are the problem going forward. nothing beyond the wit of man if you have the will and wallet.

Thankyou Dan for your very kind offer, i will bear this in mind. And Ben, if you don't mind me contacting you in the future to see if your willing to sell an engine and associated bits that would be appreciated (i'm going to exhaust all possibilities of finding one locally.) I think i'm going to need just about all the associated items e.g airbox, pipework, throttle linkage, cables, fuel pump? etc as all these were either butchered or thrown away when the previous owner scrapped the 2.6 and put in the diesel! i do however have the bellhousing, engine mounts and original radiator. Thankyou for your help. Daniel

double ended fuel pump can be purchased new from burlen but you'll need to fabricate the chassis bracket or you can use carb facet type as per classic range rover and later 6 cyl ser 3.

I'm pretty sure I've got the taller airbox. I know I've got an accelerator linkage stored somewhere really sensible after taking off a scrapper. just have to find it.......
