Fuel Filler fore or aft? Can't believe I don't already know.

I digress a little, but for reasons I can't fathom, Aussie stuff got all sorts of changes in their market. Some of it definite improvements, yet much of it, seemingly differences for differences sake.

In my case, I intend to lose the rear tank, mount a gas cylinder in its place. I'll fit one military or an 88 fuel-tank under a seat, I assume they had two one under each seat, one will be all I need. Petrol is only required to start on cold mornings, with the gas giving me just over 200 miles of range. Not much, but don't do many long trips, more short trips, often.

Reckon I will cope, but sounds a bit awkward to use filling under a seat which explains the Aussie solution, but it won't get used too much, regardless of where I put the thing.

Passenger seat is easiest to get at ( no adjustable seat gubbins). A civi tank is probably cheaper though. where is your battery

Battery already moved to rear behind passenger seat. Yes, I was reckoning passenger seat side was the choice, never used one, so thanks for confirming.

Sure enough, the Military spec stuff will shove tanks where there's space. If it's not used for fuel, in 'mufti' spec, what did 109s (with tanks up front), do with the space behind the rear axle? Spare wheel? Fresh-air?
