Hello from the Borders

I should have introduced myself earlier. I have always been interested in series Land Rovers my first being a 1955 107 pickup and my 2nd that is my current Series IIB GPO Forward Control.

Still getting used to the layout working of this forum new to me.


I moved it for the first time since 1991 under its own power. Short runs up and down the road. Surprisingly peppy even if its just in 1st gear

Fan assembly needed complete. If you can help I would be very keen to purchase. Shaft, bering support, flange and fan.




I also would down the line like to correct the cab conversion back to original. Again if you have a cab rear and roof section compleat glass seals etc.

Not sure if this will work. The first attempt turning over and a little cough. Prior to this I oiled the bores and turned on the handle very so often for a few weeks. Zero smoke on start up I was amazed Dropped the oil will set tappets and freshen up the points leads etc.

Looks like we've found the third of these FC's.

There were 3 built for the GPO, one was converted to Dropside truck, the other was sold to another member of this forum up in Aberdeen.

Unless you bought it from him?

There's a few of us in the North of England, and the Scottish Borders.

No I've still got the one in Aberdeenshire. I have no idea when anything will get done with it..................

It's undercover so it isn't deteriorating in any great way.

I have contacted ScoGuy84 directly already.

I guess one day we need to get all three in one location??
