I don't know what their complaining about, the piccys are perfect, and I don't have to reorientate them for the pommys!
I have a Mk3 Rover 3litre car engine that I intend to use. Have already modified the flywheel housing to accept the 4cyl bellhousing pattern of the Stumpy R380. I know that I could use other options, but the Rover 6cyl has such a particular note I'd like to keep it sounding somewhat original. If it doesn't work out I have an Isuzu 4BD1. However my aim is to be able to cruise about 90 to 100 KPH and the 5th gear should allow that.

Re: Hello from RSA.
Diana,
Listening to the 2.6ltr reminds of my father's old P5 but given the choice I'd prefer the 3.8ltr in my Jaguar MkII. When faced with a straight six why go for an agricultural diesel thing?
Mind both Kate and I were lusting after the exhaust burble of a V8 Disco the other day in town!

Nothing is better that the burble of a V8, unless of course its a V12 Merlin (or even the V12 Meteor in the Centurion Tank), I have a 4.6V8 in my Range Rover classic.
As for the Jag engine, I prefer the 4.2 in the CVR(T) like the Striker or Scorpion.
For the SIIB the note I am looking for is the standard sound of the Rover six.
